I am Casey Riland. I am 43 years old and returning to school for the first time in twenty years.I have spent most of my life working.I was in sales and I have owned two business's.I am a father of two boys ages eleven and sixteen.I am a good father and my children mean the world to me.I was married for 12 years.Now I am divorced peacefully.I have had some life changing things happen to me in the last two years.It made me take a hard look at who I am as a man and a father.
My goal is to utilize my experiences to help other people.I have come to realize that I am not or rather was not living the life I truly wanted to.Getting an education is important to me for many reasons.I want to work in the field of phsycology. Social work I believe will give me the opportunity to give back to society in a way that will fulfill my need to help other people.
I enjoy riding my motorcycle and i read voraciously.My life is all about my kids, They mean everything to me.I am hoping to set an example in getting my degree simultaneously creating a career path that I have always wanted.I hope to become more than I have allowed myself to be through this experience.
Hey Anthony, it was nice meeting you. I am personally going back to school to expand knowledge also. I don't have any kids, but I have a little brother that is my inspiration like your kids are to you. Keep up the good work and keep your head up man, if you keep pushing yourself you will succeed more than you ever imagined.
